Announcing the new blog site!

The below post was posted on the Blogspot site. No further updates will be posted here. Please point your browser to this site: http://www.bayareapovongally.blogspot.com for future updates.

Hey,

It's so nice being back on Blogspot, where I'm most comfortable. Some of the perks include the permanent listing of links on the right hand column and the easy-to-set-up RSS feed (which is also found on the right column). But because this is a blog for YOU, the Bay Area Deaf community, I'm going to shut up and just continue what I was doing - posting whatever updates I was offered in a neutral fashion. *grin*

The focus on this blog site, as always, is to provide information to and about our local corner of the Deaf-World, the Bay Area. We will leave the official Gallaudet updates to the already-established channels, such as the FSSA, the Gallaudet PR office, Elisa, and Ridor. But our reactions, commentary, artwork, forums, and any other actions we take are welcome to be submitted for publication here. Dissenting opinions from Bay Area residents are welcome as well. Feel free to use the "Email Me" link on the right to submit material for this site.

The posts that were posted with dates before today's are intended to mirror what was on the Xanga site up until the transfer. That way, everything is on one site. There are no new updates below this post.

Welcome to Blogspot and enjoy! *smile*

Updates

I apologize for the lack of updates, especially after the community forum last Friday. It was wonderful, by the way.

I'm in the process of moving over to Blogspot - just can't take Xanga's limitations anymore. I'll post the URL here when it's up and running.

For now:
Links:
www.gallyfssa.org (official FSSA site)
www.xanga.com/elisa_abenchuchan (FSSA-recognized site)

To join the GUAA, go to the website (http://www.gallaudet.edu/x438.xml), download the PDF form (http://www.gallaudet.edu/x444.xml), and mail it in. Then use the "E-mail me!" link on the left side to send me an email, with your name, e-mail address, and city of residence, to get you on the NorCal chapter e-mail list. I'll forward it to the appropriate person. Same if you want to contact the NorCal GUAA chapter - I'll forward your e-mail to the appropriate person. This is just for the time being.

To join the Bay Area mailing list, e-mail BayArea4Gally@yahoo.com with your name, and you'll be added to the mailing list.

For you left-wingers out there

The following is a cute analogy from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

JKF is to Cheney as IKJ is to Bush...and even though Cheney is considered Bush's brains - we do not want Cheney running for prez!
